I was confused about one thing and thought of asking about it here - do Joel and Clem meet for the first time at the diner / train station or at the beach house. Absolutely loved the movie, its been on my mind ever since. My favorite Joel line: “Why do I fall in love with every woman I see that shows me the least bit of attention?” and my favorite Clementine line: “I don't need nice. I watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. These two actors did incredible and had such great chemistry together it's crazy they were robbed of awards. Jim Carrey as Joel Barish and Kate Winslet as Clementine Kruczynski - I thought I might as well put these two together to show how beautifully this was casted. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind has become one of my favorite movies and probably my favorite romance movie, and I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. Clementine and Joel’s relationship felt so real and intimate, and the message of trying again knowing it might end hit so hard I felt a headache coming on. Of course, the story itself is the best part (spoilers ahead). Suffice to say, I was full blown away by the visual aspect of this movie. When I first heard about Eternal Sunshine I certainly wasn’t expecting science-fiction, nor was I expecting the crazy special effects and production dream scene, wow). This film was really amazing and so insightful, I think it might be one of the greatest love stories ever made. But I watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and it totally changed my view on romance films, so maybe I’ll have to start watching more. I don’t normally go out looking for romance movies, I just watch a comedy or action film and most of the time there happens to be a fun relationship that you can walk away with. Logline: When their relationship turns sour, a couple undergoes a medical procedure to have each other erased from their memories.
